As the legend goes, “You’ve got to win it to ring it!” And in 2020, the best surfers in the world will once again have their chance to ring their way into history.

Event status: 2021 Event Canceled due to COVID-19

Due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Surf League (WSL) in consultation with the Victorian Government has cancelled the 2021 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.

After signing a new three-year deal, Rip Curl look forward to 2022 and beyond when the event can run safely, and we can ring a Bell at the Rip Curl Pro.

While the full extent of the changes to the Australian leg of the 2021 championship tour is not yet available, the WSL is working thoroughly to land the best solution for surfers and fans including the addition of a world tour event in Newcastle. Further updates to the changing landscape of the 2021 world championship tour will be provided soon.
