Lidia Kato is a young half-Japanese, half-Balinese surfer with a lot of potential. Born in Tokyo but currently living in Bali, she learnt to surf on Kuta Beach at five years old, taught by her father using a second-hand surfboard.

Not long after she started competing nationally, taking out a third place slot at the Rip Curl GromSearch Final.

Lidia hopes to keep surfing and pushing her skills both in and out of competition, one day making it to the ranks of the QS and the World Tour.
